About Us
Bees By The Bay is a small family operated business dedicated to passing on our knowlege and importance of the honeybee. We started beekeeping in 1996, as we love to grow our own fruits and vegetables.Being the brave soul that Patricia is, she faced up to her fears, and took up beekeeping. Starting with two hives and growing to one hundred plus hives today.
Prior to beekeeping we had noticed there were no honeybees on our lawn or in the vegetable and flower gardens. After placing our first two hives we were able to see a change in the size and quanitiy of our fruits and vegtables. At the end of our first season we realized how large of a impact the bees had on the garden and fruit trees. Now our garden thrives and is very productive with often times producing a surplus of large suculent vegetables and fruits!
